Love it! I'm old enough to remember the original.

Obviously, I'm old enough, too! Glad you enjoyed this, thanks for commenting, Dee!

Thank you Anne. I've always felt that this 'demic is the most turbulent time since 'Nam and the related peace movement - when the people were feeling greatly skeptical & dubious of their government. It sure would be nice for our Gov. to go back to being the good guys. Unfortunately, I think it's out of control; out of our control anyway.

You're welcome, NeoBob! I hope with all my heart that we can turn things around. We the People, that is, people of the world, inspired by the Canadian truckers and many others who have been resisting this madness.

Just a reminder, next month is the 2 year anniversary of "2 weeks to flatten the curve".

Thank you, Matias. I recall lying in bed trying not to freak out about the global fascist coup taking place under the guise of a health emergency.

I’m so glad you’re on Substack now, Anne, and thank you for the shoutout as well as for sharing the inspiration behind your latest work of genius!

Are you aware of this frightening proposed legislation in New York?

Hi Margaret! I’m very glad to be on Substack. You’re more than welcome for the shoutout.

I am aware of and horrified by the regulations Hochul wants to ram down our throats. There are rallies tomorrow all over the state that were originally called to protest mandates. I’m sure these regulations will be addressed. Things are heating up everywhere but boy we in New York are in hell. I don’t want to be forced to leave the state and I will be fighting my ass off, along with many others, to stop this egregious assault on humanity.

You're very welcome, Cathleen! My apologies for being almost a year late in replying. Somehow, I missed this when you first posted.

I apologise in advance for being a double Virgo. With a moon in Libra.

The children in the flower image should not be wearing (happy looking) masks.

I don't exactly know if there should even be masks. If I didn't see the text I would think

you are pro mask. Thanks from OR

Many thanks for your comment, Jacquelyn. I received this feedback from a few people soon after I posted that image, took it to heart, and tried to change it. It didn’t work, at least to my mind. I abhor seeing the kids in masks, especially the ones with cute designs. I’m trying to show how horrible that is. If I remove the masks, I’m not making the point.

I do get what you’re saying, and I appreciate your taking the time to comment.

I’m a Virgo, too, by the way. I don’t know what moon, and I don’t know what being a double Virgo means, but interesting that we share this sign!

Thanks Anne, I hear you

I am a virgo by sun and by rising sign, and a moon in libra as i said.

the rising is sometimes spoken of as 'what you are becoming' or moving towards...

the sun sign being your general nature...

so I am a virgo trying to become a virgo, meaning....kind of hyper vig and even self cancelling....(=slob). the moon sign is the one about emotions, so I weigh things out emotionally, making me seem cold and reptillian...while slovenly....yaY! some astrologists have even apologised to me for the predicament of my sign, before they read my chart...like

whew....tough sitch....pretty funny, I was born breech with one leg first......ouch! for both parties....best from OR

I love these sentiments. How long has it been since Lorraine Schneider's cartoon and yet notice how nothing has been done about wars? Nothing. But there have been massive strides in surveillance and frequency technologies which are just smokescreens for weapons. So much development of weapons but never the money for cleaning the environment or people's health. It's so stark. They've had enough time, the government is a waste of space and in fact, keep us back.

Thank you, Denise! My apologies for not replying much sooner. I didn't realize I'd missed your comment until accidentally coming across it today while looking for something else. It seems that endless war is essential to keep the US empire going. Our biggest industrial export is weapons, and as Smedley Butler said, "War is for profit, period." And now the war is extending big time into bioweapons, and all of us are being targeted. Horrific, infuriating and escalating! Hopefully, enough people will wake up and scream NO! for once and for all.

No problem Anne, I only posted the comment today. I fully concur with your stance and enjoy your work. This idea of war has got to stop and soon. It's only through our constant voicing of our objections will there be any movement our way. The very idea of weapons is primitive ("my weapon is bigger than your weapon") Those days are for cavemen. We need to upgrade now and we can. Thanks for your roar!

That's so funny, Denise! No wonder your comment popped up! Yes, absolutely, war is barbaric and preposterous as a way to resolved anything, not to mention lives lost and wrecked, infrastructure destroyed, countries ruined. Cavemen days, begone!!!
