I hired a new mobile groomer who came to the door masked up and my dog, a Cavalier who loves everyone, wanted nothing to do with her. She wouldn't remove the mask. I let her groom him because he was overdue, but never called her again.
Interesting that your dog’s gut instinct is what’s gone missing from millions of people. I still don’t understand not being revolted by seeing people masked up. It’s eerie, humiliating and downright dispiriting.

I completely agree. Everything after that was not an ‘improvement’. One example: Call Waiting. Remember that? When you’d be having a phone conversation, and the other person would say, “I gotta go, I’ve got another call.” In other words, the other call was more important than you. It happened to me even when I had placed a long distance call, on my nickel. So, every time someone did that to me, I’d hang up instead of sitting on hold.
I hated Call Waiting from Day One! I agree, it’s been downhill ever since. Constant interruptions are the norm; quiet stretches of time are hard to come by.
Right? There’s hardly a blue-sky day in Cali when I don’t see those damn contrails, and I wonder what in the eff are those hubris-filled goons trying to do to us now?
Yes, exactly! And it’s beyond horrifying that they are trying to screw us up in the most intimate way, through our bodies via jab, junk food, etc., and in the most universal way, by poisoning our skies!
And I agree about facing it to fix it! Also, I believe if you can picture possiblities, you can make them happen. So HELLO? I need to get with my own program!
These damn phones will be the death of civilization. I'm about ready to ditch mine.

The extended masks are the creepiest. Some people look like they're wearing feed bags. The pointy ones look like something out of a horror movie.
I agree! And how about when people let them dangle from their ears, as if waiting for the next round of dehumanization?
Unfortunately in our part of Florida everyone wore masks except us. Many still do. Dogs have such a great intuition.
