That, in a nutshell, is the crux of the problem and so much more difficult to address than outright lying is (and, of course, "They" do more than their fair share of lying, also). A liar recognises the existence and meaning of truth, and relies upon the existence and meaning of same. Have you read the incisive, compelling, and totally spot-on little treatise by Princeton scholar Harry G. Frankfurt entitled, "On Bullshit" ?
