"It's now or never, come together!" - What an inspiration to make a song with that title and chorus. Thank you so much for that! Although both Elvis and the Beatles would probably have a copyright dispute with me if they were still alive...😎
Now I feel even more encouraged to do it. I can't say how long it will take, though, since we live in turbulent times and I don't even know if I'll be getting new guitar strings in the near future (hmm, maybe I could use a cbg or a diddley bow...). But I will definitely let you know!
This is my favorite of your cartoons!!!! Love it! The more that join the "I don't have a smartphone" club the better. I am the only member (that I know of) in my city! It will be much harder for the evil elite to genocide us if we ditch our listening device/lojack/ ankle bracelet that we call a smartphone.
Was at the Dr. office this morning. Some man came in after me. The staff asked him for his insurance card and he told them, "Anthem doesn't give us cards any more. It's a picture on our phone." Which he then called up to show the girl.
I'd like to find live people that believe like me before I ditch my phone, but I don't have much faith that this will happen. Substack is my link to them.
Thank you, toniReno! I’m doing my best to ditch my phone. There have been a few apps I can’t use unless I upgrade my phone. Over my dead body! I leave mine home as often as possible, and have asked friends to email me rather than text.
I agree — these little monsters open the door to hell!
my favourite answer to those surprised at my rejection of using a smartPhone is saying 'no thank you, I'm smarter than my phone!' (then everybody has to laugh and the tension's gone). it really is mind-numbingly senseless carrying such a device (a satellite, really) around all the time.
You’re welcome, mary-lou! I have a smartphone but only bring it with me when I have to. Weaning myself off. Thinking of it as the satellite it is pushes me to pitch it entirely. Thank you!
smart/iPhones offer us the incredibly powerful means to get constantly tangled up in not just one, but many tsunamis of synthetic information, communication and entertainment, but enough is enough already. how much can a brain process and at what cost? we should try to limit this virtual cyber existence because it gets in the way of real-time interhuman communication, i.e. love and friendship. just my 2 cents....
YES!! I don’t get how anyone can feel okay being so disconnected from the environment they’re in, plus, it’s so damned rude when they get walk into you, block you, etc.
They really are stuck, magnetized in a bermuda triangle-style radiation cloud: hope we can snap more out by raising awareness. Why I write: https://romanshapoval.substack.com/p/emf101
A wonderful Sunday to you, too, Roman! I agree with you that art is a great way to wake people up, and I see that you use it on your substack. Thanks for doing all you can to wake people up about EMFs! Can’t happen soon enough. Yet another big lie we’ve been fed.
Your words are a gift to me this morning, Paul. Thanks so much!
Thank you, Libor!
Thanks, authoreyezing! Try this? Maybe try rescuing her, before it’s too late! ;-)
I was kidding too, mostly. ;-)
Brilliant! Yes yes and yes 😊
Thanks and thanks and thanks, Papillon!
❤️👍
P.S. Smombies -- the top new word in German in 2015. I think it's a good one for English as well.
I made a song about the Smarties in 2013 (recorded in 2017) 🎸 https://soundcloud.com/unbroken-link/smart-zombies
go for it!
Agreed!
Love it! 🎶
Great, DeepThought, thanks! Disconnect and Come to Life! Amen!
WAppers another one.
Thanks, Transcriber B! Great word, very apropos!

Please let me know if and when you do that, DeepThought!

All things in time! :-)
Perfect depiction of what I see around me.
Sadly true! I’ve hated this from the start, and resisted getting a cell phone until I had to — no more pay phones to be had, anywhere!
We don't talk to each other anymore.
We don't speak, and we don't touch,
foolish self assured.
We all stare down at our phone.
We all burn down our home.
Wonder what it is we are looking for.
First verse of my song
Face each other reckoning FEOR.
Regards
G
Love this, Grasshopper Kaplan, thank you!

Yep, smart phones gotta go.
Ominous! I hate everything about this trend, and I would love to join in a Ditch Your Smartphone Fest! Throw a wrench in the works!

I hear you, Bandit! It's a paradox, to be sure.

Do you have a track phone for emergencies?
I do have an old nokia phone for emergencies that I keep in a faraday bag.
Thank you! I think I may still have one — will go digging!
That's not wrong!
Thank you, Bandit!
this one really, really made my day, TQ.

Nailed it!!
Thank you, Healingroze Earthwise! Nailing it is my goal!
Don't you find that people have lost their ability to walk on busy streets?
Nose in phone will get them run over.
YES!! I don’t get how anyone can feel okay being so disconnected from the environment they’re in, plus, it’s so damned rude when they get walk into you, block you, etc.
Thanks for commenting, Cairn!
But my i-phone is the only one that understands me.
Thanks for making me laugh, Dosamuno!
Ahh, the satisfaction of paying back laughs!
Thank you for all your wonderful artwork, Anne Gibbons.
You are very welcome, Dosamuno!

Thanks, Roman! I agree — snap out of it, people, before it’s too late!
And I will check out your link ASAP!
Thanks so much. I love how you're using art...it's our last and most powerful chance to truly wake others up! Have a wonderful Sunday Anne.
