Kathleen, it would appear this petition is 10 years old. I was reading comments from 2014! Wondering when this all began...

Thanks for letting me know, AJF. I had no idea.

Maybe that's a good sign? :-)

Not sure. I donated a few dollars. Hope it's a legit petition.

Kathleen, if you go to Stand for Health Freedom you can compose a message to send to elected officials. What I found out was yes, this was written years ago but now gov't agencies want to pass it.

They want to kill cash because tis easier to steal in digital

.

They want to know who they steal from too, and they can turn you off if you ain't a good slave anymore, I think they want to turn me off if I age out of slavery, rather than pay my ass to stay alive and waste their air and food they can't feed me after I am just a useless breather

They want to kill cash because they can't track or control it.

Yes, and the value of cash became clear post-Hurricane Helene, when there was no power, no WIFI, so no ATM's, no paying via smartphone, etc.

I've never owned a smartphone. I don't like tiny screens. I don't leave anything in the bank I'm not about to spend by phone or Internet. Never had a credit card.

Real ID my ass. Why couldn't they have thought up a less Orwellian name for it?

I'm managing just fine with my un-real IDs like my passport and drivers licence, thank you.

Why don't you recommend one?

Like I said, I'm doing just fine with my passport and drivers licence. That's all anyone needs. All this is is a globalist attempt at hijacking (read: make irrelevant) another part of national governments.

"The Real ID Act of 2005 is an Act of Congress that establishes requirements that driver licenses and identification cards issued by U.S. states and territories must satisfy to be accepted for accessing federal government facilities, nuclear power plants, and for boarding airline flights in the United States." Wikipedia is an untrustworthy source of information in cases like this. Unfortunately, it's hard to find other sources. Wikipedia is there in your face all the time.

Do you not practice sound vetting procedures and look for corroboration or contention elsewhere? If you consider Homeland Security more trustworthy than Wikipedia, they say something similar: "The REAL ID Act, passed by Congress in 2005, enacted the 9/11 Commission's recommendation that the Federal Government 'set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver's licenses and identification cards'.”

I think it must be that some states allow alternatives and others don't. And my guess is they make it seem like you have to go with the REAL ID, as they do with going through the X-ray thing at the airport and other abominations. You have to go out of your way to resist, and most people won't bother. From what I've read, though, if a significant number of people throw a wrench in the works, the REAL ID will have trouble going whole hog on controlling us.

States and municipalities have to accept Real ID as their standard if they want to get government money.

Vonu, do you mean form of ID or which link to use? If it's the latter, I figured I'd leave it up to readers.

SDG16: Part 2 — Enforcing Digital Identity

The United Nations claims that the purpose of Sustainable Development Goal 16 (SDG16) is to promote peaceful and inclusive societies and to provide access to justice for all. Hiding behind the rhetoric is the real objective: to strengthen and consolidate the power and authority of the “global governance regime” and to exploit threats—both real and imagined—in order to advance regime hegemony. In Part 2, Iain and Whitney examine the centrality of Digital ID (SDG 16.9) in this endeavour.

It is a shame that Dick Cheney didn't extend the drill that he ordered NORAD to stand down for to extend to the UN building from the World Trade Center's towers 1, 2 ,and 7.

I'm having difficulty understanding what a real ID is. Can someone elucidate? They really push it at the DMV.

Expand full comment
Vonu's avatar

It is a drivers license with a star in the upper right corner on the front and/or a 2D barcode on the back. The federal government made it a forced mandate.

Expand full comment
Jamie Leigh's avatar

2D barcode? Umm...for what purpose?

Expand full comment
Vonu's avatar

To contain all your relevant information for scanning by the scanner in police cars.

I'm not sure about this, but I think you have a choice not to get it in some states. I'm in NYS and I don't know what the deal is here. If my driver's license is a REAL ID, I'm going to see if I can change it.

Vonu's avatar

You can't once you have it, like Facebook.

Vonu's avatar

If your drivers license has a star in the upper right hand corner on the front and/or a 2D barcode on the back, you already have Real ID.

Submitted a comment at regulations.gov. It gave the option to be "anonymous," but I chose to identify myself. It requested name, address, phone, email. Once I entered that information, it said:

"Do not submit personally identifiable information through this form. Any personally identifiable information (e. g., name, address, phone number) included in the comment form or in an attachment may be publicly disclosed in a docket or on the Internet (via Regulations.gov). By submitting a comment, you agree to the terms or participation and privacy notice. "

Finally, in order to submit, I had to solve a CAPTCHA, which in this case was not difficult.
