Money? What is money? I don't have any! Is it balloonery, first inflated and then burst? It's a great cartoon, Anne! My today's post's about ... https://liborsoural.substack.com/p/animation-music-videos

A responsible government could use fiat money constructively to ease boom/bust cycles and make productive investments in public works. Of course the governments we have now aren't controlled by responsible people, so this potential isn't realized.

Here are two quotes from both sides of this issue, and all four confirm that "We The People" are not served by things being as they are now.

"Banking was conceived in iniquity and born in sin... Bankers own the Earth. Take it away from them but leave them the power to create money, and, with the flick of a pen, they will create enough money to buy it back again... Take this great power away from them and all the great fortunes like mine will disappear and they ought to disappear, for then this would be a better and happier world to live in... But, if you want to continue to be a slave of the bankers and pay the cost of your own slavery, then let the bankers continue to create money and control credit."

- Josiah Stamp -

Director of The Bank of England

"Give me control of the issuance of a country's currency, and I care not who makes its laws."

- Mayer Amschel Rothschild -

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their Fathers conquered...

I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies... The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people to whom it properly belongs."

- Thomas Jefferson -

"I know not which to fear the most. The standing armies in front of me, or the bankers behind me."

- Abraham Lincoln -

“A picture is worth a thousand words.”

How about ?

A picture is worth a thousand words and a cartoon is worth twice as much.
