I'm sorry for your loss and for the impact it had on you. You words fall on all us with great meaning. I was thinking about how deeply scarred I am, and how surreal and sad it has been to witness a war which is both silent and invisible. Some days my nerves so strained, I can't function well, or even do my job. We must take time to heal and strengthen our very battered hearts and souls. So all this, just to say, take a break, sleep, laugh to some silly comedy, and know we're all still here holding on to each other as best as we can. Your work is beautiful and meaningful, and we want you to be well. Thank you.
Alexandra, I want to let you know that my husband and I watched "Will Success Spoil Rock Hunter?" last night. The perfect silly comedy to engage me and make me laugh. It's a hilarious satire about the 1950's advertising world and consumer culture of the time. So original, and so mocking of American values of doing whatever it takes to achieve success. It stars Tony Randall and Jayne Mansfield, available on Criterion Channel. Thanks for the silly comedy suggestion!
