Bingo

Anne Gibbons's avatar

“Bingo” brings back memories of my grandmother getting dressed up every Wednesday night to play bingo with “the gals” every Wednesday night. When she won big, she’d treat the family to pizza. :-)

Good memories

Another great one, Anne!

If you listen carefully, you can hear them saying similar things about electric vehicles. “Why the hell can’t everybody just buy and electric car?”

Anne Gibbons's avatar

Oy vey, climate change opens another can of worms! Every storm, wildfire, drought & flood are due to “human-caused climate change.” Which may be true, if weather is being used as a weapon against us via geoengineering, not because we use too many paper towels!

It’s the straws, Anne. Plastic straws are destroying the planet. Oh, and plastic bags. Obviously!

Anne Gibbons's avatar

But not face masks! AIEEEE!!!!

Gabriela's avatar

Wow. This is such a perfect encapsulation of how so many people feel about all this. Many in my circle have said "why can't you just.....(insert whatever it may be, masks, jabs, quarantine, etc). The difference between this and my actual faith is that when I have questions about my faith, they can be answered logically. The covid religion has no logical answers for anything.

Anne Gibbons's avatar

Exactly, Gabriela - having actual faith doesn’t mean you don’t question. This is blind faith!

Gabriela's avatar

And what I meant to include also is that it's all about 'feelings'; there is no rational thought whatsoever, in marked contrast to real faith, which can be justified by reason as well. Your cartoon sums this up absolutely accurately.

Anne Gibbons's avatar

I hear you, Gabriela! Real faith doesn't mean thoughtless!

I say AMEN!!!

Brilliant, Anne.

Thank you so much, Sheila!

That about says it! While the "preachers" get RICH!

Anne Gibbons's avatar

Cha-ching, cha-ching, cha ching! Rich and ever more powerful, for as long as they can get away with it!

I had to stop going to my favorite Methodist church because they did exactly this. And in Facebook church group, they’re still addicted to asking for Covid this & Covid that prayers. They aren’t connecting the huge increase in cancer and heart problems in the congregation!!!!

When I’m not in Facebook “ jail”, I gently try to mention jabs ….

Anne Gibbons's avatar

Friends of mine have had to leave Unitarian congregations for the same reasons, Rosalind, and an independent church I left for other reasons before the March 2020 COVID coup has also been dutifully wearing masks when they come together, apparently not questioning the ominous agenda unfolding. I think I’ll be forever dumbstruck about this!

Anne Gibbons's avatar

One more thing about faith - I thought the point was not to live in fear, to have a deeper spiritual grounding — “Be Not Afraid” — how did that go out the window?

Rosalind McGill's avatar

Exactly! & they handed over their faith to government and evil Fauxchi!

I had trouble finding 501c3 churches I fit with for many years now.

Derek prince on YouTube and a few other dependable oldies helps. My few true friends do online as well. Thanks for sharing!

Not all churches are worldly. Granted fewer and fewer are Bible based, scripture only, Christ only believers. The ones that got back to doing live church, encouraged faith in the Lord and His plan and did not play into the fear mongering have flourished. In CA where the fear and oppression has been particularly bad, places like Calvary Chapel Chino Hills and Grace Community under John MacArthur have grown and are spirit filled, rejoicing places of worship.

In in Utah, the masks and shut down were short lived. Everywhere, not just at church.

Anne Gibbons's avatar

I'm glad to hear of these churches that stayed true to their word! Thanks, Raptor!

Rosalind McGill's avatar

I did hear John MacArthur guided well, thanks for reminding me.

Raptor's avatar

He was a terrific example of putting God's commands over the commands of the government. Hopefully it was an example to other churches. God is our boss. Thankfully.
