The hysterical sites about electromagnetic dangers sell stupid science and are usually little more than a vehicle for some people to make a side-income off of ad-revenue.
That being said, I personally knew a very good scientist who had observed effects from EM fields on plant life that, in his words "we just do not have an explanation for yet".
We also have solid epidemiological evidence for glioblastoma associated with wireless DECT phone use.
At the biochemistry level these fields do not pose danger. They can not ionize and thus we have no known mechanism for mutagenicity. No biochemical mechanism has been proven for impact on cell morphology. The energies we are talking about can not have effects on chemical reactions - the milliwatt per meter translates into almost nothing at the atomic scale.
What could explain effects we see? Well the folding process of proteins is a whole different story in terms of energies. Here there are much, much weaker forces at play that maybe could possibly, theoretically be effected by EMF, but that's really speculative.
Other than that, I can't think of any process in living tissue that could be affected by these very, very weak fields.
I mean, you can put a hamster on a 2000 watt induction stove and he'll look at you like 'okay, where's the snack?'
