Yes, those three things certainly do seem dead these days. 😢

Thanks for the clip of Natasha, Anne.

😂🤣😂

You're welcome, Laura. Natasha made me laugh out loud!

Critical thinking is actively discouraged. Common sense is now uncommon. Logic has been replaced by feelings.

Anne Gibbons's avatar

EXACTLY! Feelings have been weaponized in a big way. If you feel like a woman, you must be one, and society must bend over backwards to accommodate you, for example.

Crixcyon's avatar

You mean like "feeling" it's not "logical" to be a "critical thinker"?

SomeDude's avatar

as an old star trek fan, I would dispute the close association of the words "feeling" and "logical" in that statement. as any logic oriented Vulcan would know, feelings are generally not logical.

and therein lies the problem!!! ;-)

Great image, Anne, to go with that perfect and so timely clip. I’m glad you came across it! 😊

Thank YOU for coming across it, Sheila!

Truer words were never spoken in this society today. These three 'virtues' seem to have been phased out of existence. There is no logic, critical thinking or common sense. ...in dealing with many multi-vaxxed who are in love with their boosters.

Anne Gibbons's avatar

I totally agree! None so blind... !!!

Someone slipped an "of" between the words critical and thinking.

As a Gen Xer, I approve this message :-)

Thank you, GenXer Margaret Anna!

I am in my late sixties and my grandfather used to tell me all the time.

Common sense isn’t common when he was talking with me about how to deal with others.

I am sure he would have loved this cartoon, as do I !!!

This is tragicomical, Anne, and it's not only Gen X in Sweden. Almost everybody is like a zombie, and won't do anything against the situation.

It's not so much about critical thinking as it is about going about such with Godly impetus and direction. It's also about doing so consistently. Not the path to fame and fortune but to greater things that wait beyond, not what immediately benefits the individual with what passes for worthiness these days.

Bless you dear Ann, for 'drawing' our attention to what is happening! x

Great artwork!! Each tombstone marks a foundational pillar of Western education: the death of logic, the death of critical thinking, and the long-rotting corpse of common sense!

🎪 Step right up, ladies and gentlemen, to Clown School — where two plus two equals five, snow is brown, and for the grand finale, you’ll roll up your sleeve for a toxic jab against viruses that were never proven to exist! 🎺🤡

You're very welcome, Christie!

it's funny though, we were really taught to be self reliant so our parents could go participate in the Great Economic Miracle of wage slavery. not everyone of course, it's a generalization.

and that self reliance extended to being able to think on the fly without needing an expert or professional opinion to make your calls for you

seeing people do that gives me the jeebies. of course I often seek out either very non expert our perhaps an ostracized ex-expert with stellar record if you can find places it hasn't been erased. but those are still other people's opinions, but can be good references the normies may sneer at.

//edit: I'm going to leave the horrid grammar and word repetition issues in that comment as an ode to the auto correct daemon, he or she who really, REALLY wants to help and tries very hard... but usually has had far too much to drink.

Love This!! I hope they are just in a Coma and can be resurrected!

Thank you, Debra! Yes, may they be in a coma, or let's raise them from the dead! ;-)
